M.C. Herd has recently announced a major expansion to its manufacturing site in Geelong. The multi-million dollar expansion to its operations has seen the introduction of a first class small stock boning room. The upgrade to its operation will allow us to further meet customer demands in many facets of various lamb, veal and mutton cuts for both domestic and export markets.
We aim to increase our daily production throughput in the new small stock boning room up to 3000 carcasses per day. The state of the art new facility provides us with the flexibility to produce volume quality cuts to our customers in both the domestic and export markets. Furthermore, the positioning of the small stock boning room allows even work flow which is fully integrated from its production floor to its cold chain distribution facility.
The new small stock boning room is able to produce a varied range of all product types which is sourced from the most Southern points of Australia including Tasmania, Otway, Western District and Bellarine Peninsula.
